Fifteencountries accounted for 74.8% of Egypt's 3.172 mn tons of agricultural exports
during the 2020/2021 export season, as well as 67.7% of the value of those
exports at USD 1.63 bn.
Egypt'scrop exports grew by 10.8% in value to USD 2.406 bn and 7.3% in quantity to
4.241 Mn tons during the past season.
Russiawas the largest importer
Russiawas the largest importer of vegetables and fruits from Egypt during the period
from September 2020 to August 2021, with 660k tons worth USD 309 mn.
The Russian market accounted for 16% of total Egyptian agricultural exports during
the past season, as well as 13% of the value.
Thepercentages were as follows:
1.Fruits worth 233.5 million dollars.
2.Vegetables and plants worth 137.5 million dollars.
Egypt's imports from Russia
Onthe other hand, the value of Egyptian imports from Russia amounted to 4.1
billion dollars, compared to 3.6 billion dollars during 2021, an increase of
15.5%, and the value of trade exchange between Egypt and Russia increased to
