Mangoes are called the “King of Fruits” because of their delicious taste and variety of shapes, There is no doubt that mangoes are very popular, as they are the second most consumed fruit with 28.2% of the total fruit consumption, where bananas rank first with 29.4%.

Egypt’s weather, as well as its soil, is known to be a great atmosphere for cultivating mangoes. These wonderful summer fruits however, are originally Southern Asian (primarily Indian) and were introduced to Egypt in the early 19th century.

Sudan: 705.7 thousand tons.

Yemen: 336.5 thousand tons.

Saudi Arabia: 88.7 thousand tons.

Oman: 16.1 thousand tons.

UAE: 10.4 thousand tons.

Palestine: 10.4 thousand tons.

Somalia: 1.3 thousand tons.

Djibouti: 598 tons.

Morocco: 100 tons.
